For past few years, businesses were expanding their horizon and need of globalization to reach the international market and let small and middle businesses enjoy the harvest of globalization ERP, Enterprise Resource Planning took birth. The aim was to integrate plethora of data available into one system unified system that could be accessed from anywhere if they are globally connected. ERP enabled a system that Integrates information and data.
The unification of data provided consistency and synchronization of data and reduced the operational cost. Gradually ERP paradigm has shifted to provide more flexibility for entrepreneurs, number of users can work concurrently and updations take place simultaneously. ERP has modified its architecture based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and provided more flexibility to its users. The major problem is you can say one time problem, it is like implementation cost of ERP is high, if you want to start from the scratch or if you are upgrading the existing system, deep study of your business requirement is needed. For SMEs SAP B1 is most preferable choice.
